Family Promise of the Verdugos was 1 of 6 community non-profits invited to the “How to Make a Difference in Your Community on the New Political Landscape” event hosted by Community Foundation of the Verdugos. Albert Hernandez, Executive Director at FPV, was asked to prepare a 3 minute speech to inform the community about Family Promise. The audience would then get the opportunity to nominate 2 organizations of the 6 to receive a $500 grant.
Family Promise tied for first place with Burbank Temporary Aiding Center. We would like to thank the Community Foundation of the Verdugos for supporting our mission and allowing us to spread knowledge about situational homelessness amongst our community.
