On Tuesday, February 11th, Family Promise of the Verdugos was awarded a $25,000 grant to support the Case Management program. The Dignity Health grants committee focused on the health needs of Glendale based on the Community Health Needs Assessment that was completed in 2019. As a result of the assessment, the top priorities were to focus on poverty/homelessness, access to a car, and mental health, among others. The funds will be utilized to pay for direct services for families in our programs which include providing shelter and meals for homeless families, transportation, hygiene products, clothing, and access to trained case managers. We appreciate the trust and investment that the grants committee has made in Family Promise and are excited to use these new funds to make positive change in the community.
