This past month, Family Promise secured a $154,000 grant from City of Glendale to operate a Rapid Rehousing program with funding from the California Emergency Solutions & Housing grant. This generous grant enables us to serve ten families with up to 12 months of rental subsidies, case management, and a one-time security deposit. This increase in capacity means that the staff have been hard at work assessing additional families and completing the necessary paperwork. This will allow the team to better serve families like the Leslie family, who was able to secure a housing unit after nearly a year of homelessness. The challenges faced by the Leslies and families like them can be overcome by support from the Family Promise community, and our partnership with the city of Glendale will help make our humanitarian goals a reality.
