We are thrilled to share the success of one of our homeless Family Promise of the Verdugos’ families that moved into secure housing with the support of our Rapid Re-Housing Program (RRP).
The Juarez Family, a single mother and her teenage son, was referred to Family Promise by the Glendale YWCA. The family was in dire need of shelter that would allow them to get back on their feet. They ended up spending 43 days in our shelter until they were able to secure housing with our assistance. The mother now works full-time and the teenage son was able to enroll in the Burbank Unified School District. By enrolling in our Glendale Rapid Re-Housing program we are now able to work alongside of the family for the next year as they get back on their feet.
The following family was able to move back into housing and live independently.
The Quintero Family, a grandmother and her grand daughter, was referred to Family Promise by the Burbank Unified School District Homeless Liaison Ivan Zamudio. The family of two joined our shelter on January 7th after having to leave their apartment. The team at FPV guided the family back to stability and within 1 and half months were able to secure an apartment. Special thank you to Nickelodeon for helping furnish the families apartment with a refrigerator, couch and dining set.
CONGRATULATIONS and GOOD LUCK to the Juarez Family & Quintero Family!
