On November 30, 2017 at the Theatre At Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, our Executive Director, Albert Hernandez, received the 2017 Visionaries Awards as one of the top thirty individuals named as outstanding alumni in the thirty year history of the Southern California Leadership Network (SCLN).
The SCLN is a non-profit organization that helps to build a generation of leaders through a program of experiential learning paired with in-depth classroom discussions with a cross-section of leaders and some of the state’s most influential experts. SCLN strives to advance the region and the state by inspiring, preparing and connecting leaders to drive change.
Some of the other recipients of the award include Mark Ridley Thomas, Supervisor, County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, Maria Contreras Sweet, Former Administrator, Small Business Administration, Javier Argulo, Senior Director Community Relations, Walmart Stores Inc., Ron Galperen, Controller, City of Los Angeles, and Karen Baker, Chief Service Officer, Office of the Governor, California Volunteers.
